Knowing about the details of UP board 12th examination
The Uttar Pradesh class, 12th board examination, started on 6th February 2018. The combined strength of candidates appearing for the higher secondary examination this year is near about 2.6 million. The results are presumably to come out in the second or the third week of May. As per the statistics of the last year, 30, 71,892 students submitted the form for the examination. This year from a total of 66, 37,018 students, a large strength of 29, 81,327 students appeared for the class 12th examinations.
Despite this huge strength, it has been noticed that there has been a fall in the number of candidates who appeared. It is because there were candidates who left the exams. Also, there were also some of who were caught indulging in unfair means during the examination. The UP government seeks help from Special Task Force along with the local intelligence to prevent the examination mafia from any unfair means. Allowing any unfair means during the examination would affect the overall condition of the examination hall. With a large number of invigilators deployed, the examination went smoothly in all the centers.

Statistics of last year 12th Class examination by UP Board
As per the last year, the examination took place in more than 10,000 centers. The pass percentage was approximately 85.50%. Among this percentage, of the total boys, 83.25% of boys passed and 82.35% girls passed in the examination. Last year, the result came out on June 9th, when Priyanshi Tiwari from Saraswati Bal Mandir Inter College topped the examination with 96.20%.
History of UP board
Talking about the history of the UP board, it was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad. It was the result of United Provinces Legislative Council act. The first-ever examination took place in the year 1923. The board offers various streams such as Humanities, Commerce, Science, general stream along with vocational and others. Under the UP state, the two educational boards are Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and Uttar Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education that stands for class 10th and class 12th respectively. There were certain changes in the examination dates due to election procedure that clashed with the examination dates.
Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh was of the opinion that the government had taken help from local intelligence agents in preventing the centers which are famous for cheating in the examination. Due to this, the total number of examination centers has dropped from 12,000 to 8,000.
