Discussing some new measures adopted by UP Board council
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad or UPMSP examination was held on February 6th, 2018. The examination took place under top-notch security. The government took the initiative and sought help from the local intelligence to prevent any unfair means during the examination. This year 66.37 lakh candidates registered for the examination.
But out of this, only 36.55 lakh candidates appeared in the examination. It has also been seen that more than 50,000 students have dropped in the first day of the examination. The strict measures adopted by the Uttar Pradesh government have prevented most of the students from appearing in the examination, and they choose not to sit.

Implementation of new measures
Owing to this situation, Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of the state is of the opinion that Aadhaar card would be made compulsory for both students of class 9 and class 11. It shall further help in identifying the students and check the cheating in the examination.
Due to the board paper leak incident, the UPSE or Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education board canceled the class 10th science paper. As per sources, it can be said that the paper has been leaked from Devlali Kanya Inter College in Maharajganj. A police case has also been filed on the center manager and the three invigilators of the examination center, although no arrests have been made yet.

According to last year’s result, the boys have fared well compared to the girls with 93.4% of pass percentage. In 2017, Trivandrum region tops the list of highest percentage with a mark of 99.85% that is followed by Chennai with 99.62%. The total number of candidates appearing this year has increased as compared to the previous year. This time the exam schedule is maintained properly as compared to the previous year when the examination got delayed since it clashed with the state assembly elections.
The UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad is expected to declare the results of 12th class on the upcoming 29th April. It is further announced that class 10th result would be declared on the same date.
The UP board’s 10th and 12th class is preparing to publish the copies of top ten students online. Though, Nina Srivastava, UP Board Secretary is yet to finalize the procedure before it is finally implemented. There is yet a dilemma of the board that the guardians might complain to the board after going through the copies of the top ten students. They may not be happy with the evaluation procedure.
